Data is obtained from Kansas Open Records requests filed by Kansas Policy Institute and our affiliate Kansas Watchdog.  The county payroll data was obtained by Kansas Watchdog.  The county payroll listings include all earnings for the calendar year, benefits are not included.  Additional analysis of each county’s payroll can be found at Kansas Watchdog.
