Welcome to KansasOpenGov – giving Kansans a clear look at how their state and local tax dollars are spent. This site is sponsored by the Kansas Policy Institute, an independent non-profit organization that works to put citizens in charge of open, efficient government.
KansasOpenGov gives taxpayers an unbiased look at spending and other raw data and provides a forum for Kansans to add their own thoughts and analysis. The information is provided directly by official government sources and therefore any errors, omissions or inaccuracies are not those of the Kansas Policy Institute. However, please do contact us regarding questions or comments on the data.
The site has data from all State agencies and departments and we are beginning to gather data from school districts and a variety of local government entities. There are thousands of government entities in Kansas, so it may be some time before data from your school district, city or county is available, but there are ways you can help to speed up the process. Please contact us to learn how you can help get your school district or local government added to KansasOpenGov.
